Trade Winds, West Looe
Self Catering Apartment with Amazing Sea and Harbour Views
Location
Trade Winds is located in an elevated position in West Looe overlooking the Harbour, East Looe and out to sea.
A 1 Minute walk takes you to the waterside where you have 180degree views up and down the estuary and over to the Fish Market and Bullers Quay in East Looe. Hannafore Point is a 10 min walk along the lane were you can see St Georges Island and at low tide stroll along the beach or go rock pooling.
Access to the Apartment is via a zig zag slope to the front with steps at the rear leading to the private entrance and courtyard.
Unfortunately we don't have parking at the property, but there is free on street parking available on Hannafore Point or the Mill Pool pay as you go Car Park - both are a 5 min walk along the harbour. You can stop close to the property to unload/load.
However a car is not necessary as there are many bus links and the train station connects you to the main line at Liskeard for access through Devon or throughout Cornwall.
Activities
There are many things to do in and around Looe and further afield in Cornwall. Below are just some of the activities we have enjoyed. along with spending time on the lovely Sandy Beach in East Looe and the Rocky beach on West Looe, which is great for rock pooling.
East Looe is the main town with a wide range of Shops, Restaurants and Cafes and convenience stores.
An information pack is provided in the apartment which details attractions in the area, along with train and bus timetables, local maps and walking routes.
St Georges Island or 'Looe Island' is a Nature Sanctuary run by Cornwall Wildlife Trust which can be visited from Easter time by boat from the Harbour.
Many of the shops in East Looe sell all you need for an afternoon of crabbing on the harbour walls.
